Privacy Policy for Max!

Max! is designed to be played without creating an account with the developer. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information.
Data Collection
Max! does not use developer-operated analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The developer does not collect or sell personal information through the app, and the app does not send gameplay data to a developer-operated server.
Information Stored on Your Device
The app stores the following information locally so that it can work as expected:
• gameplay, sound, haptic, and accessibility preferences;
• the daily free-run allowance and the date on which it resets;
• local personal bests and any Game Center score waiting to be submitted; and
• a cached indication that Unlimited Plays has been purchased, used only to avoid temporarily limiting a returning purchaser while StoreKit checks the current entitlement.
Deleting the app removes this local information. Some information managed by Apple, such as a purchase or Game Center score, may remain associated with your Apple Account.
Game Center
Max! uses Apple's Game Center for leaderboards, but does not authenticate with or contact Game Center automatically at launch. A grown-up must first complete the app's parental gate before each Game Center visit. After that parent-initiated access, the app may submit pending scores and read leaderboard information through Apple's service for the current foreground session. Leaving the app clears that authorization; scores remain stored locally until another parent-initiated visit.
Apple handles your Game Center identity and data according to Apple's Privacy Policy and your Game Center settings. The developer does not create a separate player account.
You can manage Game Center in your device's Settings.
Purchases
Unlimited Plays is processed by Apple through the App Store. The developer does not receive or store your payment details. The app checks Apple's signed StoreKit transactions on your device to determine whether Unlimited Plays is available. Purchases and Family Sharing are managed by Apple and are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
The product, price, purchase, redemption, restoration, privacy, and terms actions appear only after a grown-up completes the app's parental gate. Links that leave the app are likewise kept in a gated grown-up area. The gate is an on-device addition question; the answer and successful access are not stored.
The Developer's Son
The original artwork was created by the developer's son when he was four. The app and this website do not publish his name or ask him to provide personal information.
Children's Privacy
The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Game Center and App Store purchases are Apple services and may be subject to parental controls and family settings managed by Apple. Max! adds its own parental gate before those services or any external destination can be opened from the app.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated if the app changes in a way that affects how information is handled. The latest version will remain available on this page.
