Mestre respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your information.
Data Collection
Mestre does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to its developers or any third parties.
• No accounts are required.
• No analytics or tracking are used.
• No data is shared with third parties by us.
Recordings and Exports
Your screen recordings, camera and microphone audio, and exported files remain on your Mac. Mestre does not upload your recordings to a developer-operated server. You choose where to save each export through the standard macOS save panel.
Speech Recognition and Captions
If you use the optional subtitle generation feature, Mestre uses Apple's Speech framework to transcribe microphone audio on your Mac. Transcription is performed on-device. Apple may require downloading speech recognition assets with your consent; that download is handled by Apple, not by us.
Mestre does not access, store, or transmit your audio or the resulting transcripts beyond what is needed to embed captions in your export or write an SRT sidecar file locally on your Mac.

Purchases and Subscriptions
All in-app purchases and subscription payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information. Your purchase history is managed by Apple and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
If you have a subscription or Lifetime Access, the App Store may share with us a non-personal receipt token to verify your entitlement. No personally identifiable information is shared with us as part of this process.
Third-Party Services
Mestre does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Children's Privacy
Because Mestre does not collect or share any information with us, it is safe for use by all ages.
Changes to This Policy
We will update this Privacy Policy if Mestre's functionality changes in a way that affects how your data is handled. You will be able to review any changes before updating the app.
